At least, it is for me, someone who never really stopped thinking about the virtual pets and their various spin-offs and stories. But really, Bandai Namco\u2019s <strong>Tamagotchi Plaza<\/strong> is the first console game from the franchise to release internationally since 2008, which gives me great hope for a second worldwide wave of Tama Fever.<\/p>\n<p>Just over a year ago, I wrote about the ups and downs of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pockettactics.com\/tamagotchi-game-history\">Tamagotchi game history<\/a> and focused on my intense nostalgia for the Corner Shop series. Little did I know that I\u2019d predicted the series\u2019 triumphant return to our screens via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pockettactics.com\/tamagotchi-plaza\">Tamagotchi Plaza<\/a>, a revamped, shinier version of the children\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pockettactics.com\/best-switch-simulation-games\">simulation game<\/a> for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. I knew I had to get my hands on it ASAP and see how it holds up nearly 20 years since the first Corner Shop game launched globally.<\/p>\n<p>If you have never played this bizarre trio of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pockettactics.com\/best-ds-games\">DS games<\/a> before, they\u2019re essentially a collection of minigames based in different businesses, including dentists\u2019 offices, hot springs, and bakeries. You work with your Tamagotchi pal to grow their businesses and impress the Tama King.
