To celebrate Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A\u2019s imminent release, and mark the end of the Scarlet and Violet era, Pok\u00e9mon has finally made the shiny Koraidon and shiny Miraidon available in-game. However, if you want to nab the legendary dragons\u2019 alternate forms, you\u2019ll have to act fast.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s no secret that Pok\u00e9mon likes to shiny lock legendaries, trapping the special color palettes behind special events, DLC, or Pok\u00e9mon Home achievements. For the game\u2019s lifespan, the Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet legendaries\u2019 shinies have been unobtainable, but now you can claim the dragon Pok\u00e9mon from your local game store. This is wonderful news for people looking to complete their Pok\u00e9dex, or assemble a competitively viable team for VGC.<\/p>\n
There are a couple of caveats, though. If you want shiny versions of both Koraidon and Miraidon, you have to own copies of both Scarlet and Violet. The fighting Pok\u00e9mon is exclusive to Violet, and the electric Pok\u00e9mon\u2019s code only works in Scarlet. As a Violet owner who thinks Koraidon\u2019s edgy shiny design is much cooler than Miraidon\u2019s, this doesn\u2019t bother me, but I know plenty of shiny collectors who won\u2019t be happy.<\/p>\n
