As we\u2019ve waited for the library of games on the Nintendo Switch 2 to expand, the question of game-exclusive accessories was on everyone\u2019s mind. There was some speculation about which IP the first Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller would borrow from, but Nintendo has surprisingly gone for a franchise they don\u2019t even own: Resident Evil: Requiem. That\u2019s not all, though, as Nintendo and Capcom have collaborated to bring you a first for the Switch 2 in the form of an amiibo of Requiem\u2019s protagonist, Grace Ashcroft.<\/p>\n
While the controller will be out on the same day as the new installment in the series, February 27, you\u2019ll need to hang on a little if you want to see the amiibo, as it\u2019ll be dropping sometime in spring of 2026. Also releasing on February 27 is the special pack of games coming to the Switch 2, called the Generation Pack. We already knew that the Switch and Switch 2 would be bringing Resident Evil: Village and Biohazard alongside Requiem, but the Generation Pack appears to offer the three in a collector\u2019s edition box, and with any luck, a slight discount than if you were to buy all three games separately.<\/p>\n
Rumors are flying about one character, as now that pre-orders have gone live, one store may have done something they shouldn\u2019t have. PlayStation Portugal apparently listed a Leon skin as one you can get in the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil: Requiem, seemingly confirming his appearance in the game – but we can\u2019t say for sure if this is true. Some warn that it\u2019s easy to edit screenshots, so for now, Leon stays a rumor. If it\u2019s true, though, then this icon, who\u2019s been with us since Resident Evil 2 back in 1998, popping in and out of the games like a fun part of the furniture, hasn\u2019t been seen since Resident Evil 6. We\u2019d be excited to catch up with him and, presumably, play as him.<\/p>\n
