As of writing, Virtus.pro has raised over \u00a3630 in donations.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465ac951\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>\u201cThe polar bear has been the symbol of Virtus.pro for over 22 years,\u201d Virtus.pro wrote on the webpage. \u201cAnd it represents strength and resilience for our club and community. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465acf66\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>\u201cToday, polar bears face dangerous conditions in the wild, and we feel it\u2019s our responsibility to help protect them. Our campaign is about connecting our global esports audience with this cause and supporting WWF\u2019s vital conservation work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465ad5d2\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>It is not the first time WWF has worked with an esports team to raise money for wildlife conservation. Collaborations date as far back as 2021, when it worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2021\/03\/wwf-partners-with-ninjas-in-pyjamas-for-earth-hour-campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ninjas in Pyjamas<\/a> for the Earth Hour campaign, holding a live stream event spreading awareness on environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465adc1c\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Virtus.pro shared details on the fundraiser shortly after its run in the Overwatch Champions Series concluded for the 2025 season. It placed sixth in EMEA Stage 3, missing out on the World Finals in <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/08\/owcs-world-finals-2025-dreamhack-november\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DreamHack Stockholm<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-69271465ae259\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"esports_and_charity_efforts_in_2025-2\">Esports and Charity Efforts in 2025<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465ae986\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Esports is a scene that attracts millions of viewers every year across various titles, and has become a strong platform for charities to share about their work. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465af02a\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>In the League of Legends scene, <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/10\/flyquest-announces-worlds-2025-charity-campaign-t1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FlyQuest<\/a> announced a charity campaign with T1 during Worlds 2025. The organisation pledged to make donations to two chosen charities based on its own performance and that of T1 in the tournament.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69271465af663\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Earlier this year, Riot Games launched in-game fundraisers for both VALORANT and League of Legends to support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
